About Ebina City

Ebina City is located in the central area of Kanagawa Prefecture.

Three lines stop at
Ebina – Odakyu Line, Sotetsu Line, and JR Sagami Line.
Ebina Interchange of Ken-O Expressway.

and is blessed by bountiful nature.

The large scale development has been continuing around Ebina Station to expect population increase.
Ebina station is a hub station of three railway lines: Odakyu Line, Sotetsu Line, and JR Sagami Line. It is counted as a major station in the prefectural central area. ViNAWALK (mega shopping complex) and Ebina Central Park are in the east exit area. LaLaport Ebina, Ebina West Exit Central Plaza, and a boulevard are in the west exit area. In a zone between Odakyu Line and JR Sagami Line, a large scale development is underway to build high rise condominiums and commercial facilities. People expect further development as a main gate of the city.

Bustling and prospering Ebina Station area

Refurbishment of Sotetsu Line Ebina Station is now underway. North ticket gate previously open year 2023. The new station will have two floors. The open is scheduled to be in fiscal year 2027.
Without changing lines, direct connection to the central capital
Sotetsu-JR direct connection opened in the latter half period of fiscal year 2019. Sotetsu-Tokyu Line direct connection is also opened in Mar. 2023. This direct link can make you approach to Shibuya and Shin-Yokohama station without changing line. This gives us easy access to city center and central Tokyo.
Swift approach to expressways
The city has an interchange of Ken-o Expressway.

From Ebina Interchange of Ken-o Expressway, We can access easily to Chuo Expressway, Kan-Etsu Expressway, and Tohoku Expressway.

To Shin-Tomei Expressway: Opening of Ebina Minami Junction

Ebina Minami Junction, the start point of Shin-Tomei Expressway opened to link Shin-Tomei and Ken-o Expressway here.

Many parking lots are available around the terminal drivers carry luggage and souvenirs. The first bus terminal in Kanagawa for the exclusive use of highway bus and sightseeing bus. So, you can carry your luggage and souvenirs conveniently.

For the not having public transportation, we runs community buses, they are designed so that everyone can easily get on and off, and are low hazard vehicles giving low impact to the environment.

Three routes are in operation

① Kokubu (Ebina Sta.-Kashiwadai Sta.)
② Kamiimaizumi (between Ebina Sta. Nishiguchi, west exit and Kashiwadai Sta.)
③ Oya/Sugikubo (between Ebina Sta. and EXPASA Ebina (Nagoya-bound))

Ebina Service Area
Ebina SA is one of the busiest and most popular Service Area in Japan. Local people can access both Service Areas bound for Tokyo and for Nagoya from normal city roads. Parking lots for local people are available near the SA. Moreover, community buses (Oya/Sugikubo route) stop at the SA.

Evolving City

From Ebina station, city center is spreading out east and west.

Megumi area map

In Feb. 2017, Megumicho―a zone between JR Ebina Station and Odakyu/Sotetsu Ebina Station―was born. Its total is 19 hectares including Central Library and Culture Hall. The name of Megumicho comes from the wish “the town brings blessings to Ebina”.

Private enterprises develop Bustling Area and Residential Area
The area developed by private enterprises in Megumicho is 3.5 hectare. They are crating Area and Residential Area, both of which face a free passage. The concepts of development are “comfort”, “life”, and “create”.
Creating Bustling Lifeblood Area
ViNA GARDENS TERRACE (commercial facilities) and ViNA GARDENS PERCH (complex facilities such as medical institutions and fitness clubs) and ViNA GARDENS OFFICE (the corporate office building) are gathered in the area. There is also the city counter for health and medial care.

Romancecar Museum
In April 2021, Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. opened Romancecar Museum near the train depot next to Ebina Station. Not only Romancecars, a variety of historical train cars are exhibited.

High-rise condominiums mainly form the area constructed by private enterprises.
Cultural Area
The area has Central Library, and Cultural Hall. While harmonizing the surrounding environment, it aims the area promoting creative culture.

Kamigo Kawaraguchi Line (interim name) image
Kamigo Kawaraguchi Line (tentative name)
The road under construction in underpass crosses railways of JR Sagami Line and Sotetsu Atsugi Line (cargo train line) from Ebina Station west gate area, reaching Cultural Hall and Central Library, extending 700 m in length, 16 m in width. The entire road, including the railway crossing parts, is scheduled to open in 2024.
